FMCG & CPG Channel Loyalty

FMCG & CPG Loyalty Programmes Built for South African Trade

Reward spaza owners, tuck-shop traders, cash-and-carry buyers, independent wholesalers and merchandisers from one platform. A scan clears server-side, a rebate slab is read off the DMS, and the rand lands by instant EFT or PayShap.

How It Works

Three Ways an FMCG Partner Earns in South Africa

A spaza owner, a merchandiser and a distributor each earn on their own track, and all three settle out of the same rand float. Every claim is tested before money moves, whether it starts at a tuck shop off Warwick Junction or at a distributor depot on the N3.

QR Scan on Cartons and Packs

Spaza and tuck-shop owners scan the unique code printed on the pack or the outer carton in the QR loyalty app. The server tests it for a repeat claim, a reprinted label and a plausible location, then releases the rand into the owner's linked account by instant EFT the same day.

DMS Volume Rebates

Secondary-sales files move out of the DMS into the loyalty engine over SFTP every month, with nothing re-keyed on the way. Slab rules work out what the distributor has earned and what each independent wholesaler underneath them contributed, and the rebate reaches the registered business account at cycle close.

Merchandiser Sell-Through Claims

A merchandiser covering national chains or a large independent store uploads the shift invoice or a shelf photograph, and the claim holds on the handset where coverage runs thin. Brand and finance sign off in turn, and the cleared incentive lands in the merchandiser wallet.

Complete Platform

Codes, Claims, Rand Payouts and Tier Mechanics

Everything an FMCG programme needs sits on one cloud: the earning rules, the rand settlement, the tier and game mechanics, and a catalogue of vouchers, airtime and data. Built for a channel that still runs largely on cash, and for routes where coverage is never guaranteed.

QR Scan and Invoice Claims

Codes are cleared on the server, with single-use locks, reprint detection and geo-fenced rules. Two-stage invoice approval puts the distributor first and the brand second. Both routes can run inside one scheme, from spaza counters to national chains.

Rand Payouts by Instant EFT

Points convert to rand and settle into a linked South African account by instant EFT or PayShap for shop owners and merchandisers, and at cycle close for distributors, or turn into airtime, data and vouchers instead. Payment automation runs the ceilings, the payment calendar and the match against the bank statement, with an audit trail behind every disbursement.

Gamification Engine

Leaderboards by province or by trade channel, spin the wheel, scratch cards, badges and Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers, with contests timed to the festive season, Easter and the back-to-school window. Every mechanic is set per scheme and per segment in the portal.

WhatsApp and Push Automation

Balance confirmations, expiry warnings and campaign sends go out over WhatsApp, SMS and in-app push in English, isiZulu, isiXhosa, Afrikaans, Sesotho and Setswana. Workflow automation sequences the drip flows by segment and by lifecycle stage.

Apps that Run the System

The Apps Your Field and Channel Teams Actually Use

Two 1Channel apps carry the work from a shop counter through to head office. Each ships on Google Play and the App Store, each speaks to the same cloud that sits behind the admin portal, and each holds its data on entry-level Android when the signal goes.
