When batch management is enabled for a product, every stock entry is recorded with its batch number, manufacturing date, and expiry date. Inventory is maintained at the batch level across all warehouses, giving visibility into exactly which batches are available and when they expire.

Three methods are available: FIFO dispatches the oldest received stock first, FEFO dispatches stock with the nearest expiry date first, and LIFO dispatches the most recently received stock first. The method is configured per product or globally and applied automatically during order dispatch.

Batch numbers, manufacturing dates, and expiry dates are recorded at the time of GRN (Goods Receipt Note) when stock enters the warehouse. This ensures traceability starts from the very first point of entry into the system.

The system monitors expiry dates across all batches. When FEFO allocation is enabled, products closer to expiry are automatically selected during dispatch. Configurable alerts can flag batches approaching their expiry threshold.

Yes. When orders are dispatched with batch allocation, the delivery notes and invoices include batch numbers, quantities allocated per batch, and expiry date information for complete traceability.

Decimal places can be allowed if required, for example when tracking volume-based quantities. However, standard quantity values are whole numbers, so decimals generally do not impact typical batch quantity calculations.
